I got this because I had a dermatologist who told me how effective this was. I have to admit, I really have never been really excited about antioxidants because my thinking was the damage has been done at my age ! But he explained it was impossible for the repair process to begin in it's entirety,until the antioxidants are removed. My argument was I use stuff now for the sun and plenty of antioxidants found in my night creams. He explained that test have shown this increased facial skin by 10% and that it surpassed in strength many well known antioxidants. He suggested I research and I did ! Here's what I found .Many have complained it was like water or even water itself . I myself was wow this stuff is thin ! But I remembered my shock when I found out natural collagen is molecularly to big to be absorbed by skin ( not to be confused with synthetic collagen). I have been doing skin care reviews for longer than I want to admit but that's something I look for now. Lets put it this way ! Pure water is 18 kdaltons. Pure Edelweiss is 27 kdaltons. Pure vitamin c is 176 kdaltons !The lower the molecular weight is, the better the absorption rate for the skin. Edelweiss is so low scientist have now found that it's low molecular weight and incredible anti-oxidant ability may solve graft infections with heart transplants and arteries etc. So yes this is very very thin almost as low as water in density and very powerful !So most of us are familiar with this flower from the Sound of Music. But most of us do not know it lives in very high altitudes with very damaging winds and temperatures and uv rays ! The only way it survives such harsh environmental factors is the natural antioxidants it produces ! And these are the same ones that protect our skin when using this. My Dr explained that there are so many factors that are present now that attacks our skin such as pollution and even certain kinds of light bulbs.I have been using this now for two months and have noticed more even skin and less breakouts . I have also noticed less skin imperfections. I really like how just a tiny drop in my lotion makes one of the strongest antioxidants ever for my face ,, so all my other ingredients ,, "can do their thing " !
