I'm delighted with these muslin face cloths, which I've started using rather than cotton wool pads to remove make up and clean my skin, for environmental reasons - lifetimes of cotton wool and cotton wool pads in landfill. So, using now 'the hot oil method' rather than cleansing lotion, these are excellent. I massage cold pressed carrier oil, generally with a low dilution of cooling, calming skin kind essential oils blended in all over my face and neck, and then hold a cloth, immersed in warm water and then wrung out, over my face and neck, and wipe the make-up or daily debris away. Rinse cloth, wring out and repeat until no more make up or grime is seen on the cloth. I tend to do a final closing of pores with a wring out in cold water. Some of the 'natural beauty companies' are now selling these kind of double muslins at outrageously marked up prices, so I was delighted to find these ones. At only about a pound a cloth, you can be properly hygienic and change your cloth daily. I let my cloth dry out overnight and then throw it into the washing machine, once dry and do a job lot when I have a normal load of washing to do.These wash well, and their fine, slight roughness means as you wipe off make-up you are also exfoliating, without needing any of those dreadful microbeads - or even, the use of a much kinder, natural exfoliating product using something like ground almonds, pumice etc
